A JUNGLE WALK

The Jungle & Village Walk leads out from the main estate through feral, undomesticated plantations of rubber and cocoa, into the jungle and then down through a cinnamon plantation. A track of sorts marks most of the way, and if you keep close to the mantra “turn right,” it is hard to get lost. Once through the plantation of cinnamon, you enter upon small earth or partly concrete roads that lead through a string of hamlets that abut the estate, and where many of our staff have their homes. The path leads onto a wider path, cutting through paddy fields on one side and a river on the other, before joining a tiny country road that eventually leads back, through marginally larger roads, to the road off which is the turning for The Flame Tree Estate.
